"Kaanchi" at Singapore postponed

The first performance of "Kaanchi" (Bharatanatyam) was to be staged in Singapore on the 5th Sep'04. But  the premier show was already held on 2nd June at Kanchipuram (India) itself - as an auspicious dedication to Kanchipuram, thereby taking the art to where it belongs. The day was equally significant as it was the Jayanthi day of his holiness Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

In view of the above the proposed performance in Singapore stands postponed indefinitely. However, those who visit Chennai can lookforward to attending "Kaanchi" by Lavanya Raghuraman at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha on 3rd Jan'2005.
