Courses
alapana offers regular three-tier course in Carnatic music (South
Indian Classical music) - Vocal, Veena, Violin, Mridangam - and a structured course with
three levels of proficiency in Indian classical dance,Bharatanatyam. Besides the regular
courses, there are Intensive Modular courses and 'Flexilearn' courses in
music and dance. While the regular courses lead to proper certfication through a
qualifying examination, Intensive Modular courses and 'Flexilearn' courses are
not examination oriented. alapana has a well-defined fee structure for various courses without any hidden cost.
In future, there will be auxillary courses such as Yoga, theory of
dance, musicology, Indian decoration concepts, Costume designing, Stage management,
Maintenance of Musical instruments, Cultural elements in Indian way of living.

For all those who want to join
regular music classes.Follows a strict syllabus. Examination is offered but not
compulsory. .

special training for performances, competitions, auditions or even examinations. The hours
spent will also qualify for alapana examinations. These are usually modular, each
module is not longer than 3 months.

For those who cannot attend
regular classes. Suited for frequent travellers, shift-duty officers and even those
staying far away. This is a convenient worry-free way to learn at your pace, without any
examination pressure.
